In this question it is said that a wall is built and they have asked to find the number of bricks required to build the wall where they have given dimensions of the wall and dimensions of one brick.

Length of the wall = 10 m = 1000cm

Height of the wall = 4 m = 400 cm

Thickness of the wall = 24 cm

Volume of the wall = 1000 x 400 x 24 cm³

Volume of each brick = 24 x 12 x 8 cm³

No. of bricks required = $.\frac{Volumeofthewall}{Volumeofeachbrick}$

= $\frac{1000\times 400\times 24}{24\times 12\times 8}$

= 4166.667

Since, the brick is to be taken as a whole, so to build the wall 4167 bricks are required.
