Schizophrenia is a mental disorder in which a person shows abnormal social behaviour. It affects the ability of a person to distinguish what is real and what is imaginary. 

Causes: 
The exact cause of the disease is still not known. However. some theories have proposed following causes of this disease.

1. Genetic causes: It is thought that the parents or close relatives having the disorder may transfer it to the offspring. It is though that disorder in many genes may trigger the disorder. 
2. Environmental causes: The environmental causes include drug addiction, prenatal stress, Viral and immune disorders etc.

Symptoms of schizophrenia:

1. Confused thinking
2. Hallucinations
3. Delusions
4. Reduced social engagement
5. Lack of motivation etc.
