explain the structure of eukaryotic flagella with diagram.

Dear student,

The flagella in eukaryotes if present is 11 stranded (9+2), 200nm in diameter and shows differentiation of axoneme that is surrounded by a sheath.Flagella are structures that extend out from the surface of the cell and are used for movement. They are composed of micro tubules or fibrils. Nine pairs of micro tubules arranged in a circular manner and one pair is situated in the middle running down the centre. This is the fibril arrangement of flagella in eukaryotic cell.

Regards.
