Uses of rational numbers are as follows: 
1.If we are eating a watermelon in summers and divide it into four pieces,as people are three and we eat only 3/4.
This can be an example of rational numbers.

 The number which is written in p/q form is called rational number. The use of rational in daily life is quite easy, rather we use rational numbers of and on. For example when you say eat half burger so the term 1/2 is also a rational number. We do use rational number so often but do not realize.
