Solution:

After independence health services in India have improvised significantly . Basic infrastructure has been provided in urban and rural areas for primary health care services. Hospital beds per ten thousand population has increased from 3.2 to 9.3. (1950-51 to 1999-2000). Also number of hospitals and dispensaries has increased by more than 7 times. 
With growth in health sector, death rate per thousand population has declined from 27.4 in 1951 to 8.7 in 2000. Life expectancy of an average Indian has also increased to 63 years.
