Explain with the help of example how physical and biological component of the environment are interdependent

Dear student,
The biosphere is the life zone of the earth. The biological environment that comprises of living beings interact with the physical environment that comprises of non-living things like air and water, to sustain life. Both the physical and biological environments interact with each other in the biosphere that gives way to specific flora and fauna in that given region.
For example, in desert areas, the physical environment comprises of hot and arid conditions. Such physical conditions have influences their biological environment, paving way for xerophytes like cactuses that has special ways of minimising water losses and maximising water conservation with long roots and spiked leaves.
