Explain

  1. Why does a camel easily cross the desert but not a horse?

We know that Pressure is inversely proportional to area.

So, smaller area will exert more pressure, hence as camel has broad feet than a horse it exerts less pressure on the sand and moves whereas a horse's foot penetrate in the sand as it has small feet.

BECAUSE CAMELS HAVE FLAT FEET AND ALSO PRESSURE IS INVERSELY PROPORTIONAL TO AREA. OTHER REASONS ARE AS FOLLOWS:-

1/PRESSURE INCREASES WHEN,

AREA IN CONTACT DECREASES AND MAGNITUDE OF FORCE INCREASES

2/ PRESSURE DECREASES WHEN,

AREA IN CONTACT INCREASES AND MAGNITUDE OF FORCE OF FORCE DECREASES
