@ Shrinath : Your friend has given the correct answer for the perimeter of the given triangle,but she forgot to find the area of triangle. Since the triangle so obtained by joining the vertices A, B and C is a right angled triangle with ∠B = 90, so its area can be easily calculated.

Name triangle ABC,in which A=(-3,5);B=(-3,0);C=(2,0)

Therefore,AB=5units BC=5units

By P.G.T AC2=AB2+BC2

AC2=(52)+(52)

AC2=25+25=50

Therefore, AC = root50 = 5root2

Perimeter = 5+5+5root

=10+5root2

= 5(2+root2)
