find the area of a triangle, two sides of which are 8cm,11cm and the perimeter is 32cm

the third side is 32-19 = 13

so the formula for area = root over s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c) where s = peirmeter / 2

hope this helps :D

Hi !

given,

peimeter=32 cm.

sides=8,11

=sum of both sides - perimetre

32-8+11

32-19=13

sides=8 cm., 11 cm., 13 cm.

semi perimeter =a+ b+ c / 2

= 8+11+13 /2

32/2

so, s=16 cm.

area of a triangle = [root under] s(s-a) (s-b) (s-c)

s-a=16-8=8

s-b=16-11=5

s-c=16-13=3

[root under] 16 x 8 x 5 x 3

[root under] 2 x 8 x 8 x 5 x 3

=8 [root under] 30

there fore area of a triangle=8[root under]30

HOPE IT HELPS U???????????
