Formula to calculate density of an irregular shaped solid

Density of an irregular shaped solid can be obtained by finding its mass in air and then in water.
$$\begin{gathered} If, m_o is the mass of the solid in air \\ and m_w is the mass of the solid in water \\ Then, \\ {m}_o=\rho V \\ where, \rho is the denisty of the solid and V is the volume of the solid \\ {m}_w=\left(\rho -{\rho }_w\right)V \\ where, {\rho }_w is the density of water \\ \frac{m_o}{m_w}=\frac{\rho }{\rho -{\rho }_w} \\ {m}_o\left(\rho -{\rho }_w\right)=m_w\rho \\ {m}_o\rho -m_w\rho =m_o{\rho }_w \\ \rho =\frac{m_o{\rho }_w}{\left(m_o-m_w\right)} \end{gathered}$$
