From a cone of radius 40 cm, a cone of radius 16 cm and height 12 cm is cut from the top so that the circular bases of these cones are parallel. Find the volume of the frustum of cone so obtained.

Answer :

From given information we form our diagram , As :

And
We know Volume of frustum of cone  = π3×hR2 +R×r + r2
Here
R  = 40 cm
And
r  =  16 cm

So,
Volume of frustum of cone  = 2273×h402 +40×16 + 162  = 22h211600+640 + 256 =22h21× 2496 = 54912 h21           ( Ans )

We can't find exact volume of frustum as we do not know height of given frustum  , So kindly recheck your question and get back to us , So we can help you precisely  .
