Give an example to show that two persons or groups of persons may seek things which are conflicting

We can understand this in terms of  development where the The goals of development often vary and some times  are conflicting in nature because every individual or a group has a different status or objectives to carry out. They requirements in individuals has a difference at a particular time, for instance, a rich man would have a different goal, say to build a factory, on the other hand the goal of a beggar would be to get two meals a day. Hence, we can observe that these two goals are different and conflicting.
