Give reason why we can easily move our hands in air but not through liquid or solid?

There is a lot of space between particles of gas(air) due to very weak intermolecular forces. Therefore, we can easily move our hands in air.But the space between liquid particles is less comparatively; therefore, it is difficult to move hands in liquids.The  particles in solids are tightly packed, so we cannot move our hand in solids.
