A Rich fishing grounds have developed in the regions where warm
and cold currents because a lot of weeds are found in that area
where fishes come to feed in large numbers An example is the
Sargasso sea
B Area around Newfoundland is called "grave yard of 1000 ships"
because mixing of warm and cold currents create heavy fog which can
cause accidents
C Some deserts are found in the region near cold currents
because cold currents do not have the water carrying capacity and
cannot cause rain
D Norwegian coasts are free of ice even during winters because
of the presence of warm Norwegian current which does not allow ice
to form
E Ocean near polar regions are comparatively less saline because
of the presence of glaciers which continuously provide the sea with
fresh water thus reducing the salinity
