How are monsoon winds different from other winds

Monsoon are seasonal winds that are a result of the differential heating of land masses and the oceans on the surface of earth, that blow from one direction during certain period of the year and then reverses its direction during the remaining part of the year they contains a huge amount of moisture. In fact when monsoon start, it brings humidity from sea to land and this humidity get cold and makes a lot of rain.
