AS WE KNOW THAT TRIBAL CHIEFS HAD A HUGE AMOUNT OF INFLUENCE BUT AFTER BRITISH CAME AND ESTABLISHED COLONIAL RULE THE TRIBAL CHIEFS LOST THEIR MUCH ADMINISTRATIVE AND POLITICAL INFLUENCE. TRIBAL CHIEFS HAD TO GIVE OUT THEIR SOME LAND TO BRITISHERS, THEY HAD TO PAY TRIBUTE, CHIEFS WERE FORCED TO FOLLOW THE RULES MADE BY BRITISHERS AND BRITISHERS DESTROY THEIR TRADITIONAL CULTURES.

ii)They were allowed to keep their lands and rent them,but had to follow the laws made by the british.

iii) They had to pay large tributes to the british  and civilize the tribal groups on behalf of the British

iv) They lost the authority they had earlier enjoyed among their people and were unable to fulfil traditional
