How does foreign trade become a main channel in connecting countries

Dear student,
The main channel of connecting countries was foreign trade that connected the countries in the past. One may give example of trade routes that connected India and South Asia with the rest of the World.

Presently, in addition to foreign trade, movement of services, people, technology and capital are taking place through out the world that is leading to integration and contributing towards Globalisation.

1) Silk route connected different countries of the world as a result extensive trade took place through this route.
2) foreign trade integrate the markets of different countries by allowing the producers to Cross International boundaries in search of cheap raw material.
3) due to foreign trade commodities move from one market to another market this increases the choices of goods in the market.
