how does shape and structure of flowers influence pollination in plants?

Dear Student
Flower shape and structure affects pollination to a great extent as pollinators are attracted to flowers following its morphological features. Pollination may occur via an insect, air, water etc this also decides the flowers shape and structure. Flowers in which self-pollination takes place flower is usually closed in shape while for cross-pollination flowers shape is usually open type. Shape and structure also protect pollen grains and aids in its easy dispersal.
Hope this information will clear your doubts about the topic.
