How does temperature affect the functioning of an enzyme?

Dear Student,

Enzymes have a narrow range of temperature and pH optima. At this optimum temperature and optimum pressure, enzyme activity is the highest. The activity of an enzyme declines, at levels below or above this optima. This is because at high temperatures, the enzyme gets denatured while at lower temperatures the enzyme becomes inactive.

Hope it is clear to you now,

Cheers!!

in simple words wn temp rises d protein part n d enzyme gets denatured , jus as n d case of a boild egg .
