According to Gauss ( I think ), an angle of the the form 360/n can be constructed using straight edge and compass if and only if n is a product of distinct Fermat numbers and a power of two and a Fermat number is of the form 2^(2^k)+1.

The first few fermat numbers are 3,5, 17

If we can construct 10 degrees then we can construct 110 but 10 degree = 360/36 and 35 = (2^2)*3*3 so it is not the product of distinct fermat numbers (because of 3 and 3) and therefore we cannot construct 110.

Dear Arushi,
You are asking question on Practical Geometry, so I think you meant to "Construct"... With the help of compass we can construct the angles which are multiples of 15°.So,The angle of measure 110⁰ cannot be constructed using a compass. The angle of measure 110⁰ can be constructed/drawn using a protractor.   Follow the given steps to construct/draw an angle of measure 110°. Step 1: Draw a ray AB of any length. Step 2: Place the centre of protractor at A and the zero edge along AB. Step 3: Start with zero near B. Mark point C at 110°. Step 4: Join AC. ∴ ∠BAC is the required angle whose measure is 110°.   Cheers!!

Dear Arushi,

Sorry, in the first answer, the answer got mixed up, as I was on Android..
