how to know when to apply left hand limit and right hand limit in limits?

Dear Student,
When we have to find left hand limit we have to check at the values of  say x = 2 , then for left hand limit we have to check at x= 2- and for right hand limit we have to check at x= 2+.
So it depends upon the type of question . If we have to check the continuity we have to check both limits.

So here since both limits are unequal it is not continuous.

There are two theories of catalysis which is described as follows.

(1) Intermediate compound theory

(ii) The intermediate compound may be formed in either of two ways

(a) When the intermediate compound is reactive and reacts with the other reactants.
