I need help with this question

Dear student,
Please find below the answer:

1. Our body is made up of numerous cells all of which require energy. Moreover, warm-blooded animals like us need a huge amount of energy to maintain body temperature. As diffusion is a very slow process it will take a long time to reach oxygen to each cell. Also, not all the cells of the body are exposed to environmental oxygen that can be directly diffused in the cell. Thus, diffusion only is not sufficient to meet the oxygen requirement of such a complex multicellular body.

2. Any visible movement such as walking, breathing, or growing is generally used to decide whether something is alive or not. However, a living organism can also have movements, which are not visible to the naked eye. Therefore, the presence of life processes is a fundamental criterion that can be used to decide whether something is alive or not.

3. An organism uses outside raw materials mostly in the form of food and oxygen. The raw materials required by an organism can be quite varied depending on the complexity of the organism and its environment.

4. All life processes are essential for the maintenance of life. These life processes are:

1) Nutrition: To obtain and digest food.

2) Respiration: To obtain oxygen and break down molecules to release energy.

3) Circulation: To transport the metabolites to all parts of the body

4) Excretion: To remove waste products from the body.

Hope this information clears your doubt.
Regards.
