if A(3,0) B(0,4) and C(0,0) are the vertices of a triangle find length of AC without plotting

Answer : 

we can find out the length of the AC without plotting , by using distance formula , As we know  

d = $\sqrt{{\left(x_2 - x_1\right)}^2 +\hspace{0.17em} {\left(y_2 - y_1\right)}^2}$

So to find length of AC we get A (  3 , 0 )  and C ( 0 , 0 ) 
here 
x₁ =  3  and x₂  = 0 
y₁ = 0  and y₂ = 0 
So,
length of AC  = $\sqrt{{\left(0 - 3\right)}^2 +\hspace{0.17em} {\left(0 - 0\right)}^2} = \sqrt{{\left(-3\right)}^2 + 0} = \sqrt{9 }$  =   3 unit                        ( Ans )
