If the discriminant of the equation  6x ²  - bx + 2= 0 is 1,then the value of 'b' is:
A 7                       (B) -7                             (C) ±7                         (D) ±7

The given quadratic equation is, 
6x ² - bx + 2 = 0
We have , A = 6  ;  B = - b  ;  C = 2
Discriminant, D = B² - 4AC = (- b)² - 4(6) (2) = b² - 48
But, D = 1
so, b² - 48 = 1
   ⇒b² = 49
 ⇒  b = +7 or -7
