Your question is not clear to us. If you are giving the marks scored by 10 students of each group, then it can be solved further as:

Arranging the marks scored by the students in the first  group in increasing order we have;
4, 7, 12, 12, 14, 15, 15, 17, 18, 19
There are 10 observations. Thus, the median mark scored by the students of the first group is half of sum of 5th and 6th observations = (14 + 15)/2 = 29/2 = 14.5 marks

Arranging the marks scored by the students in the second group in increasing order we have;
10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 15, 17, 17, 20
There are 10 observations. Thus, the median mark scored by the students of the second group is half of sum of 5th and 6th observations = (14 + 15)/2 = 29/2 = 14.5 marks

If you consider the two groups as one group, then the marks scored by the 20 students can be arranged in ascending order as:
4, 7, 10, 11, 12, 12, 12, 13, 14, 14, 15, 15, 15, 15, 17, 17, 17, 18, 19 and 20

There are 20 observations. Thus, the median mark scored by the students of the second group is half of sum of 10th and 11th observations = (14 + 15)/2 = 29/2 = 14.5 marks

The median would be first we will add the fifth and the sixth number and take out the mean of it

i.e 11+10/2 = 22/2 = 11

The median is 11
