if there is no thyroxine in a tadpole, will the tadpole remain a tadpole for life?

In tadpole thyroxin hormone is responsible for the changes that occur at the time of transformation into adult form (metamorphosis). Without this hormone tadpole cannot undergo any change. It will remain tadpole for some period of time and then die.

yes the tadpole may not grow and so it will remain as it is because thyroxine is necessary for a tadpole to grow into a frog......
