In a forest, where there are trees of different heights, which trees would be more prone to lighting???????

Dear Student,
Trees that stand-alone, rise above other trees, or are close to water are the most likely candidates. Some tree species are more likely to receive a lightning strike than other species, including oaks, elms, pines, spruce, poplars, maples, and ash, while beech, birch, and horse chestnut receive fewer strikes
Hope this information will clear your doubts about the topic .
