In a society, there were 100 members. Each member was to participate some activity like art, basketball, cricket and football. 3/10 of members participated in art, 1/10 in basketball,17 played cricket. How many members participated in football

Total number of members = 100
Number of people playing basket ball= 1/10 * 100 = 10
Number of people in art activity= 3 / 10 * 100 = 30
Number of people in cricket = 17
Total = 10 + 30 + 17 = 57
Therefore number of people in foot ball = 100 - 57 = 43

Number of members in Society = 100
People Playing Cricket= 17
People Playing Basketball= 1/10 of 100
People doing Art = 3/10 of 100

OF means Multiplication so
 
3/10*100 = 30
1/10*100 = 10

Now, People who play football are 

Total number of Students - People Playing Cricket - People Playing Basketball - People Participating in Art = Number of people playing football

100 - 17 - 30 - 10 = 43

Therefore number of people playing Football are 43
