- In case of diffuse reflection from a rough surface , a parallel incident beam becomes non parallel incident beam becomes non parallel after reflection . are the laws of reflection valid here ? give reasons ....Don't give any links.
Dear Student
Irregular or diffused reflection takes place from an irregular surface. In diffused reflection, reflected rays are not parallel to each other for parallel incident rays. This is due to the presence of irregular microscopic surfaces. The parallel incident rays reflect in different directions due to these irregularities. The rays still obey the laws of reflection. Laws of reflection are not violated due to diffused reflection.
