Dear student,

Subjective type questions:
A.
(1)   Noble gases are inert because they have a full octet of electrons. In other words, there are not any valence electrons available for noble gas elements to react with other elements.
(2)  A homogeneous mixture is that which has a uniform composition throughout. Air is a homogeneous mixture because it contains gaseous substances like oxygen, nitrogen and other gases present in small amounts uniformly distributed throughout it. So that's why air is considered as a homogeneous mixture. Hope you got the answer you needed.

(3)  Sugar cannot be separated from its solution by filtration because the sugar in water forms a clear homogeneous solution and they can not be separated by filtration. For filtration a heterogeneous solution is required, therefore sugar from its solution can be separated by evaporation.
