in hens, fertilisaton takes place internally but they do not give birth to young ones. cheeks are born through eggs. Explain

Although hens reproduce using internal fertilization, they do not give birth to young ones this is because, just after fertilization, the zygote starts to divide and travels down the Oviduct. While travelling down it forms many protective layers around it which is the hard, protective shell around the hen’s egg. The hen then lays the egg. The embryo takes about 25 days to develop into a chick. The development of the chick takes place inside the egg shell and hen sits on the eggs and provides warmth to the developing chick. After the chick is completely developed, it bursts open the egg shell. So hens are referred as oviparous organisms.
