In the English Board Exam, will it be specified whether to write a Formal or Informal Invitation?  If not, how do we make a distinction?

Dear Student,
Given below is the answer to your question.

It may or may not be specified. However, this is irrelevant as you can find it out easily. Formal as the name suggests, is written to a higher official or somebody holding a position or office. For example, an editor, the principal, the police commissioner etc.
On the other hand, informal is addressed to a person you are familiar to. For example - your parents, grandparents, family, siblings, cousins, friends etc.

I hope you find this answer helpful. Please post more questions on the forum to be assisted by our team.
Thank you.
