IN THE PREVIOUS QUESTION I ASKED:
IF THEIR IS A SENTENCE
THE GIRLS AS WELL AS THE BOY WERE/WAS EATING THEIR FOOD.
WHICH WORD WILL COME WAS OR WERE.
SOMEONE'S ANSWER WAS
I am sure that there will come were and the sentence will like this the girls as well as the boys were eating their food.
BUT IN MY QUESTION IT WAS BOY AND NOT BOYS
SO WHAT CAN BE THE ANSWER PLEASE HELP
The verb would still be 'were'.
The subject in this sentence remains the same: Girls.
Since it is a plural subject, it will take the plural verb 'were'.
