Is medical termination of pregnancy i.e. abortion can be done in any month of pregnancy? Kindly answer sir/mam.
MTP stands for medical termination of pregnancy. It is an induced abortion for voluntary termination of pregnancy before full term. Medical termination of pregnancy is considered safe only during the first trimester, i.e. 12 weeks of pregnancy. Unless, it will be dangerous for the health of mother as after this period growing foetus make deep contact with uterine wall of mother.
