Is the theme of the chapter and the message conveyed in the chapter same thing?

Dear Student,
There is a slight difference between "Theme" and "Message" of the poem. The theme is a generalized term that shows the flow of the poem. While "Message" is specific. It is the crux of the poem that intends to be understood and imbibed by the readers.
