Mothers day is that day of the year when the mothers all over the globe celebrate their importance. Mothers are one of the most beautiful and loved people for their caring and understanding nature but are sometimes taken for granted. The prose piece displays how the society behaves and the unpleasant manner in whch the the role of mothers is taken for granted. In the prose piece, Mrs. pearson a very fluttering and caring individual gets no respect and is not given any importance which she desires to change but can't becaus of the immense love that she has for her family. Mrs.Fitzeergald helps her out with wizardry and swaps personlaities with her and thus puts Mrs.pearson 's family in their places. She thus helps Mrs.pearson gain the respect she deserves.

They ignore her esires, her needs, her love & affection and thus bcomes a lady in waiting - waiting for her husband's love & her children's care. the play is an earnest appeal for a better & humane treatment of all mothers. mrs. pearson finally has her day when her family realises theirmistake and apologises to her. she rediscoveres the joy of being a fulfiled mother. hence the play is correctly named Mother's Day
