Justify the title of the story, "The eyes have it" by Ruskin bond

Dear student,

Here is the answer:

The narrator of the story, "The eyes have it" ,is a blind man. He is going to Dehradun by train and in the train, he meets a girl. The narrator tries to hide his blindness by skilfully answering the questions of the girl. Only after the girl leaves that the narrator realises that she too was blind. The girl also was successful in hiding her blindness. The story gives a moral that it is better to be a real person than to fake yourself.

Our eyes show us what is happening in the world. Through our eyes we we can perceive the world. Lack of eyes does not mean that one can't see the inner beauty of the other person. The narrator wants to convey that we should feel the things rather than just see them.

Regards
