lakshmi is a cashier in a bank.she has a currency notes of domination rs100,rs50,rs10, respectively.the ratio of the numbers of these notes in 2:3:5.the total cash with lakshami is rs 4,00,000.how many notes of each domination does she have.

Let 2:3:5 be 2y, 3y and 5y

amount she has,                                                                                                                                                                            2y x 100 =  200y

3y x  50   =  150y

5y x 10    =   50y

ATQ,            200y + 150y + 50y =  400000

                     400y = 400000

                           y =  1000

So,              notes she has,   from rs. 100         2 x 1000 =  2000

                                                  from rs. 50            3 x  1000 = 3000

                                                  from rs. 10           5 x 1000  =  5000

Let 2:3:5 be 2x, 3x and 5x

amount she has, 2x x 100 = 200x

3x x 50 = 150x

5x x 10 = 50x

ATQ, 200y + 150x + 50x = 400000

400x = 400000

x = 1000

So, notes she has, from rs. 100 2 x 1000 = 2000

from rs. 50 3 x 1000 = 3000

from rs. 10 5 x 1000 = 5000

In these type of eqation no of denomination just has to be multiplied by the types of currencies
