Manganese is required in photolysis of water during photosynthesis,What is the meaning of this statement? 

Manganese is a micro element required by plants. It is absorbed in the form of Manganous cation. It plays an important role in the photolysis of water molecule  as it activates many enzymes which further catalyze the reaction of photosynthesis.
