MCB works on which principal of electric current.

Dear student,
Miniature Circuit Breaker(MCB) works on the principle of the heating effect of electrical current. These are electromechanical devices which protect an electrical circuit from an overcurrent. 
MCB is a switch which automatically turns off when the current flowing through it passes the maximum allowable limit.

electric fuses are increasingly replaced by miniature circuit breakers, they are appliances that break that open the circuit immediately once the flow of current in a circuit exceeds the safe limit. they are back in the on position only after the overload is removed or the current flow returns back to it's safe limits. this works on the heating effect of electric current.

Dear Friend, Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCB) work on the Heating effect of electric current as well as magnetic effect of electric current. The working of this device is necessary as it helps in overload and short circuit, this happens to be the reason it works on 2 principles. For more efficiency in different conditions .
