mention the differences between multiple fission and binary fission???

Binary means parent  divides into two organism  whereas multiple means parent can divide into multiple organisms.

Fission: In this process a unicellular organism splits to form two new organism.

Fission is of two types:

1.Binary fission

  • In this the paren organism splits to form two new orgamisms.
  • The parent organism ceases to exist and two new organism comes into existence.

For ex: Amoebae,Paramecium,Leishmenia

2. Multiple fission:

  • In this parent organism splits to form in many new organism at the same time.

For ex : Plasmodium
