Name the 2 types of processes present in neuron, write functions of each

Dear Student,
Two processes present in neuron is Axon and dendrites. Dendrites are responsible for receiving signals coming towards the cell body. Axons help in transmitting this impulses to a long distance from the cell body towards the axon terminal. Axon is a long tail-like structure which joins the cell body to the axon terminal. Dendrites are fibrous roots that branch out from the cell body.

The two neuron processes are dendrits
and axons. Dendrits are long receptive regions with large surface area which gets signals from the cells. Axon is the long rod type structure or pathway through which the signals are recieved by the nucleus.
