2. it is used in extraction of minerals as it is an excellant reducing agent .
3. it is used in manufacture of graphite.
4. it is used to manufacture waterr gas.

• gas carbon 

1. it is used for making electrodes for dry cell
2. it is used forr the extraction of aluminium metal from its molten bauxite ore.
   

• coal tar - it is when supjected to fractional distillation the following products are formed :-

1. toulene - used for making DDT and TNT.
2. benzene - used for making BHC.
3. phenol - used for making dyes.
4. napthalene - used as moth repellant .

• Ammonia liquor 

1. used as an artificial ferrtiliser

1. used as a household fuel .
2. used as industrial fuel.
