Photosynthetic bacteria carry out photosynthesis in the absence of
chloroplasts. Reason For This Cause

Dear student,

Chlorophyll is scattered in the cytoplasm found in the thylakoid membrane of some bacteria like Cyanobacteria. As a result, unlike other plants, chlorophylls are not packed tightly in the chloroplast. As a result, even if they lack chloroplast, they can carry out photosynthesis.
