Dear Student,
For a simple pendulum:
Time period of pendulum in terms of gravity is given by

$T=2\mathrm{\pi }\sqrt{\frac{\mathrm{l}}{\mathrm{g}}}$

Squaring both side we get,

$T^2=4{\mathrm{\pi }}^2\frac{\mathrm{l}}{\mathrm{g}}$
this equation is can be written in terms of the straight line equation
y = mx
where y is T² and x is l.

or ,
L ∝ T²
thus,
T​​​​​​² versus L will be nothing but a linear slope.
