Place a tennis ball on the hard smooth of a table. Blow the ball. What will happen to the ball ? Now cover the table with a sheet (table cloth ). Place the table tennis ball over the sheet and blow at it. What will happen to ball now. Give reason for both the case.

In first case the ball rolls rapidally.

In second case when table cloth is placed ball rolls slowly.
As motion is fast on smooth surface than rough surface becuase of friction.

Rough surface provide more friction hence ball rolling on cloth rolls slowly and then stop.
