Dear Student,

Ans. Aldosterone

Insulin is a hormone secreted by pancreas which maintains the blood glucose level. If excess of glucose is present, insulin sends signals to liver, so that it can uptake excess glucose and store it in the form of glycogen. A decrease in secretion of insulin is associated with diabetes.
Cortisol (hydrocortisone) is the principal glucocorticoid hormone. It also helps in regulating glucose metabolism.
It promotes gluconeogenesis, especially during starvation and raises blood pressure.
Epinephrine causes an increase in hepatic glucose levels by stimulating glycogenolysis and gluconeogenesis.
