2 Now , open the compass more than half the measure of AB
3 Taking A as centre , draw two arc below and above line segment AB
4Taking B as centre , draw two arc below and above line segment AB
5 Join the intersections of two arcs , which cuts line segment at C
6  Now , open the compass more than half the measure of AC
7 Taking A as centre , draw two arc below and above line segment AC
8Taking C as centre , draw two arc below and above line segment AC
9 Join the intersections of two arcs , which cuts line segment at P
Thus , AP=14 AB and PB=34 AB
