Where To Put A Kink And Do We Join The Graph To The Origin When We Put The Kink.

Is It Necessary To Put A Kink And How to know where to put the kink and where to join the graph to the origin

Kink can be put in either x axis or y axis. But we put kink on y axis if it is required.

Kink is put wherever there is some discrepancy. Suppose the first interval starts from 800, then second from 900, so you'll put a kink , starting from origin on the x axis to show t he gap., i.e 0-800

When we have marked the kink there is no need of joining the graph to the origin. It certainly would just superimpose over the kink.
