Please explain me this (plantation agriculture) in summary.

Dear Student,

Summary of important points:
1)Plantation agriculture is a type of commercial farming where a single crop of tea, coffee, sugarcane, cashew, rubber, banana or cotton is grown.
2)Large amount of labour and capital is required in this type of farming.
3)The produce is either processed on the farm itself or in nearby factories.

Other important points are:
•Major plantations are found in the tropical regions of the world, like rubber in Malaysia, coffee in Brazil, tea in India and Sri Lanka, etc. They are also found in sub-tropical regions.
•Plantation agriculture was first introduced by the Europeans during colonial rule.
•These farms are large, grow the same crop throughout and are called estates.
